Who’s behind Wander & Be?

Meet the dreamers behind the lens and the vows

The W&B crew didn't just stumble into adventure elopements – they were called to it. Together, Wander & Be was built around one simple truth: your love story deserves to be captured soulfully, in places that make your heart explode.

Celebrate love

Jacqua Celebrant

Jacqua likens herself to “Mr Adventure” from the Mr Men book series. Throughout her adult life, she never really fit into the traditional ‘9 to 5’ corporate marketing life. She was always far too busy planning her next worldly adventure and so, the universe led her on a new path. Jacqua landed the perfect gig as a marriage celebrant! Not just any old celebrant, but a fun-loving, adventure-seeking, non-traditional celebrant.

It all started in 2015, when she eloped with her husband Chris in the Nevada Desert. They left Las Vegas in a classic red Rambler, got hitched at sunset and drank champagne well into the night. Since then, she’s been totally obsessed with celebrating love.

Having explored Australia extensively and more than 60 countries for work and leisure, Jacqua’s life is brimming with travel adventures and couple’s love stories. In turn, Wander & Be was born!

Photographer James Harber

James is a nature-roaming elopement photographer originally from the UK who found his way over to Australia and fell in love with the lush landscapes, open roads, and magical atmosphere of this ancient land.

Having captured his first elopement back in 2018, the idea and concepts of eloping soon stuck with him, and now he aims to create and capture elopements for couples which are authentic, fun, and cinematic. Behind all of this is a desire for couples to truly be themselves - he's seen how traditional weddings can grind couples down, and all he wants is for couples to have the day of their dreams, celebrating how they want to.

Outside of photography and travel, you'll find him skiing, bouldering, being a massive board game nerd, keeping fit, and indulging in Japanese cuisine (and plenty of ramen)!

Capture love

Videographer Craig Holbrook

Craig has been filming weddings for over 10 years and is most excited when enjoying the outdoors. No surprises, you’ll usually find him alongside his dog; surfing, hiking, camping or out on the boat fishing.

Craig began his journey into film and photography whilst studying a Bachelor of Digital Media. He was first drawn to the endless experimentation of capturing the ocean and the stories of those who ride it, but as time went on his focus shifted to people.

As his skills developed, Craig became evermore intrigued by colour science and spent years learning the techniques to manipulate the feeling of an image through the use of tones and texture.

In short, we describe Craig’s style as being low impact (less staged cheesy poses), with a focus on the in-between moments, to create an authentic and romantic image. Add an adventure elopement into the mix and Craig is in his element.
